Outside the Circus

Sails was enjoying this. She was laughing hysterically and running in circles around the two.

Dean walked over to Jenny as she took her jacket off. She looked like she was bleeding badly, and whatever it was was running around them, he could hear the footfalls, coming fast.

"Get in the car," he instructed Jenny. She was injured, and a liability. He wanted to avoid her getting hurt again. "I'll handle this." He reached into his pocket, bringing out the gun. He had no idea if it would be any good against this thing, but it was worth a shot. It was either that, or go to the trunk of the car and find something more suitable.

Jenny wanted to argue. She wasn't going to just sit and wait in the car when she could be actually hunting this thing. She had been hurt much worse before. Once she had broken her wrist of her right hand and had to kill the thing with her left. A few scratches on her arm felt like nothing. But still, her head started throbbing as she stood up and snatched the torch off the floor, shining it up trying to find the creature again.

"It's got purple skin and red eyes." she said in a rush. "And it moves too damn fast. Dunno what the hell it is." She started to head over to the Impala, hoping that it somehow had good intentions.

Sails was now working herself up, she flitted until she was between the couple. "Hello there." she grinned darkly, revealing a row of strong red teeth amongst her purple face and lips. Her skin resembled a bruise and then she flitted away, scratching the side of the car with her nails as she went.

Whatever she was, she certainly didn't look like anything Dean had ever hunted before. Mottled purple skin, and a malicious grin. She did not look friendly, though Dean was left wondering why she had not killed them already, for she looked powerful enough to do so. He walked towards the spot where was previously was, and grimaced at the sight of a scratch along the car. That would be a bitch to get rid of.

Dean walked towards Jenny. He needed to get her in the car out of the way. She didn't look good, and her arm was bleeding badly.

"Jenny, get in there," he said, glancing around. Hopefully she would not reappear till Jenny got safely in.

"Fuck!" Jenny cried, pulling out her knife once more and trying to stab the creature before it disappeared again. Too late. She glared into the darkness, stepping backwards towards the Impala, shaking slightly as the blood on her arm was now making her colder and the fact that she'd had to take off her jacket. She didn't bother getting her torch back. It was simply stranded in the middle of the road.

She looked around, trying to see where it had gone, still trying to get into the car. A nasty scratch was now on the side of it. That creature had to die now. Dean wasn't going to take the scratch too kindly. "Where'd it go?" she hissed in pain again. Her other hand was getting covered in her blood as she tried to apply pressure on the wounds.

Sails flitted back to the female and scratched again, this time a horizontal scratch on her arm, leaving a crucifix shape. Then she flitted past the male and scratched at his stomach but barely enough to cause bleeding. She was enjoying the torment and flitted back to the safety of the outer darkness.

Jenny almost screamed this time, letting out a considerably loud 'ow', leaning her back against the side of the Impala sliding down a little way as her vision started to blur. She was loosing way to much blood and now not only was her whole right arm covered in blood, but so was most of her lower left and her hands. At least she was wearing a black tank top so the blood wasn't showing on it that bad, but it was all trailing down onto her jeans. She swore again, trying to reach for the handle of the car door to get inside.

Dean barely had a chance to see the thing go back to Jenny before it was right in front of him, its claws leaving a long scratch across his stomach, causing him to grunt in pain. His face scrunched up briefly, but the cut was light, and it wasn't bleeding badly. He looked back up, bringing his gun out, and shooting randomly into the woods where he assumed it had appeared from.

"You okay?" he ground out, looking over at his cousin, who appeared to have some sort of cross engraved onto her arms from the scratches. Was that a crucifix? This was getting worse and worse, and the thing was too fast for them to attack. They needed to get back to the motel, fast.

"Not really." Jenny hissed, failing at trying to stand up, ending up on the ground again. She tilted her head back onto the side of the car, trying to breathe and really wishing the world would stop spinning. "Son of a-," She tried to stand up again, reaching once more to open the door and this time actually succeed. They needed to find out what that thing was so they could kill it, and then know how to deal with them in the future. Although it would probably be a damn hard thing to kill if it moved faster than they could.

Sails was gonna strike to really hurt now. The gunshots had angered her so she flitted to the male and slashed at the gun, her nails, she knew, would be easily enough to destroy it. She then flitted to the girl and pulled her up in front of her and started to flit. It was as if they were still but the world was turning under their feet. She then threw the female at the male and scratched him downwards making a similar crucafix shape but deeper this time. Then flitted into darkness.

The gun fell out of Dean's hands, and it looked grotesque. Deep scratches ran along it's surface, rendering it useless. It would be a write off, for sure. Whatever she was, she went away again, too fast for his eye to follow her. Dean could see her going around Jenny, trying to disorientate her. What the hell was going on?

He gasped in pain a second later. There was another gash, deeper this time, going down his stomach, making a similar design to the one on Jenny's arm. It was bleeding pretty heavily, but he barely had time to try and press a hand against the wound in an attempt to staunch the bleeding before Jenny was thrown against him, causing the pain to flare up, making him cry out.

The world was spinning around Jenny as she lay on the ground in the darkness after being thrown at Dean. She had fallen beside him and could see him right next to her. She tried to sit up at least but was so dizzy she barely knew which way was up.

"Dean?" she called out into the darkness. "Are you okay?!" she shut her eyes for a long moment, trying to get her head straight. The torch wasn't too far away. She reached out for it and held it up. It hurt her eyes and she put a hand to her head. She'd hit it hard on the ground. Her head was throbbing painfully now.

Sails was now laughing like a maniac, eyes wide and practically screaming. She'd never had such fun in her life!

The throbbing pain from his stomach was making it hard to think straight, and Dean took a long shuddering breath in as he pressed his hand against it, the blood already going through the t-shirt he was wearing, making it dark and sticky with blood. It hurt like hell, and it took him a few moments to make out the distant sound of Jenny's voice, and the manic laughter in the background. His head was swimming.

Dean managed to push himself up, though he was a little shaky on his feet. The blood loss wasn't too bad yet, though it would be soon, especially if the creature attacked again.

"Jenny?" he called out, and then he noticed her. She was laying down on the floor, next to where he had been moments before. She was looking pale, and the blood was still leaking from her arm, "Shit," he muttered, he needed to bandage that up.

"Dean." Jenny breathed, meaning to call out but her head hurt to much when she tried to raise her voice any louder. She tried to sit up again and managed to, only putting her palm to her forehead, covering herself with blood but she couldn't care less. She wanted to will herself to stand up but couldn't, so she just sat there, taking deep breaths.

"Where the hell has the thing gone..." she asked, hoping it wasn't going to come back.

Dean looked around. He couldn't see it anywhere, though it could still be hiding out in the forest-y area. He didn't know. It could be about to come in for the kill. Hopefully it wasn't still toying with them, because surely that's what it was. It kept coming back, hurting them, but if it had wanted to then surely it would have killed them by now, unless it was just prolonging it for the fun of it.

"I don't know," Dean glanced back down at Jenny, and with his free hand he reached down, the other one still pressed against the gash on his stomach, "Need a hand getting up?"

"No, I'm good down here." mumbled Jenny, still holding a hand to her aching head as she sat on the road. She opened her eyes again, trying to see. Everything was still spinning, and was that tears at the corners of her eyes? Ugh. She wasn't a crier. It was the pain. Yes. The pain. She placed both hands back on the asphalt, wondering how long it would take her to hurry the hell up and stand up. The last thing they wanted was for that thing to come back.

Jenny seemed content to stay on the floor, and her hand went to her head, not bothering to try for Dean's. He frowned, they needed to get moving, it could still be there. Not to mention that Jenny's arm looked like it was going to need stitches, and probably his stomach too. Sam would probably be wondering where they were. Should he ring him? Probably not. He still had the flu, and would probably be as useless as them. He didn't have transport either. They needed to get to him.

"We need to get back to the motel," Dean mumbled, as he glanced back at the car. The scratch mark didn't look good. He really needed to get that fixed as soon as they were out of the area. He looked back down at Jenny. She still did not seem to be getting up, and Dean tried to bend down, wincing as the wound was moved. He tried to get hold of the hand Jenny had on her head, "You need to get up."

Sails was waiting in the darkness.....waiting.....watching...

"I am!" Jenny scowled. The pain was annoying her and she was getting blood everywhere. Ugh. She hated get hurt. Davis was usually on the phone to her right about now. He always knew what to say to her to make her move when they were in trouble, even when he wasn't there. She tried to keep her eyes open, pulling her hand forcefully out of Dean's grip and standing up. She swayed dangerously on her feet and the ground came close to her face again as she fell, but she stuck out her arm to stop herself, only realising it was the arm that was bleeding and she fell onto it hissing in pain and rolling over onto her back.

Jenny sat up again, determined to do this on her own. Damn it, she could do it by herself. She'd been hunting for years without any help from Dean. She didn't need his help to get up. So she stood up again and this time, stayed up.

"Are you okay to get back to-," Dean gestured at the Impala, watching Jenny a little helplessly. With the blood loss he had sustained, and the blood he was still losing he wasn't really in much of a shape to lend a hand, and Jenny obviously didn't want him to. He stayed by her side, just in case she keeled over again.

He was starting to feel drowsy. They needed to get back soon. He was going to kill Sam if he gave him his bug.

"I'm fine. Are you okay?" asked Jenny, slowly picking up the torch from the ground. "Is it gone?" she whispered, really hoping it had as she swayed slowly over to the Impala, wanting to get inside this time instead of being thrown over at Dean. She hoped that she didn't have anything serious. Just a few cuts and her head hurt from hitting it. That was all - it had to be. Awkward questions at the hospital wouldn't be great... especially since she had some kind of crucifix shape on her arm.

Kendra was gonna do it now, this was the end for the couple. She flitted towards them and scratched the male on the back of the leg, aiming to open a vein. Then did the same to the female. She then scratched a tyre of the car causing it to burst then stood back, wanting to watch them bleed to death. It would take a while but worth every second. The sound of footsteps caused her to freeze. She looked around and the person arriving was undeniably Larten Crepsley. Shit. An ex Vampire general was the last thing she needed. She flitted away, she had no real direction, just away.

Before Dean had a chance to reply, the thing was at him again. He could feel the skin tearing as the claws sliced through his leg, and by the feeling of the blood pumping out far too quickly she had probably nicked an artery. He tried to cry out, see if Jenny was okay, if she saw what had happened, but it died off in his throat.

The edge of his vision was going black, eyesight going fuzzy. This was it, he was going to die here. He waited for the thing to come, finish him off, but it didn't. Perhaps it was going to leave him to die off slowly. He hoped that Jenny would make it through this, fight it off, though the chances were slim that she would. This was going to kill Sammy, when he found out that they were both dead.
