The trip to 'Cirque du Freak' had not really yielded any new information. Dean was not not sure what he had expected, but he had hoping for some sign of malicious supernatural activity going on there. If there was nothing, which it looked like there was, then the ten hour journey to get here would be rendered pointless. It had been interesting, and he was not denying that. The performance with the spider had been good, though the wolf man thing had seemed a little eerie, and though he was relatively sure the man doing it was human he was put a little ill at ease.

His car was parked a few blocks from round here, the darkness making it hard to tell the roads apart. The street lamps were flickering, they probably needed rewiring, and they were certainly not aiding him in finding his way back to the Impala.

Jenny had left earlier then he had. She had probably gone straight back to the motel, seeing as she was tired earlier. Sam would likely be asleep, seeing as he had been when he set off. Hopefully he would be back soon. He was already starting to feel tired.

Sails was on the hunt, she was chasing a rather athletic 30 something year old and he smelt delicious. She knew no matter how fast he ran she would easily outrun him but she was enjoying the chase. She liked to torment her victims. She was getting hungry so she decided to go in for the kill. Her speed picked up instantly and she heard the man gasp as he looked back and saw her closing in. Her purple-tinted skin shining in the moonlight and her crimson eyes watching eagerly. A result of fully draining her victims.

She was close enough to reach and she hooked her arm round his neck and in one swift motion she dragged him to the ground. Before he could attempt to struggle she had slit open his jugular with her fingernail.
Blood fountained, glorious, red, sticky and beautiful. Her mouth closed around the spurting wound and blood filled her mouth. She could feel all her exhaustion leave her body and she felt awake.

When the blood was completely drained she began to drag him towards a nearby woods, she had befriended a little person and fed it and in return it disposed of the bones.

Jenny tried again to start her car and let out a moan as she knew that it had completely failed. She'd stolen it a while back and thought it would be fine. Guess not. She had quite a few back in Iowa, but this one had been nice. She'd stolen it from someone rich anyway who was just going to sell it, so they probably wouldn't miss it that much. Davis had taken a look and said it was fine. But no. It died.

She got out the car and slammed the door, looking around in the darkness. There weren't anymore people around now since it was a bit late and there wern't even many houses nearby. Jenny started to walk around back to where Dean had been, hoping he'd let her hitch a ride in the Impala.

Sails managed to carry the limp corpse on her shoulder and slowly made her way to the wooded area. Blood dripping from her mouth and coating her body.

Dean was pretty sure he was getting closer now. He couldn't be more then a couple of minutes walk from the car, though he could not really tell in this light. The air was getting colder as the evening went on, making him glad that he was wearing his leather jacket. It had been warmer earlier in the day, and he had been tempted to come out in less, but had brought the jacket along out of habit. Though even with it on the temperature still penetrated his skin.

His car was a welcome sight when it came into view, beautiful black paintwork making it blend into the night. Looked like his sense of direction was not so bad after all. It would not be a long drive from here, about ten minutes at most, and the roads would likely be clear, considering that it was relatively late and that the town was small.

He stuffed his hands in his pockets. They were freezing, and he would do anything for a warm coffee to wrap them around.

Jenny spotted Dean with his hands in his pockets just next to the Impala and sighed in relief, seeing that she wouldn't have to walk or get a cab with the little money she'd bought with her, leaving most of it back at the motel.

"Dean!" She yelled, waving at him in the empty street apart from a few other random cars. Jenny jogged over to him.

Sails stopped when she smelt the human, it wasn't the one she was carrying as she could smell blood. Warm, rushing blood. She was about a meter away from the woods so threw the body down against a nearby tree and ran in search of the blood. Full as she was, she wanted the chase. She was bored so this was her new little plaything. The scent was strong, there were 2 humans, a strong smell of a female conditioner and male deoderant. Male and female, if they were romantically involved this could be very fun.

The sound of the female's voice gave Sails a location.

Didn't she head back to the motel earlier? Dean's eyebrows knotted, confused. How did she know he parked here?

"Jenny?"

Dean walked the last few metres to the car, waiting for her to come over. She was jogging towards him, looking relieved. He leaned against the Impala, cold metal hard against his back. He really wanted to get back to the motel soon - back to a warm bed and sleep. They would be able to finish whatever was wrong in the morning, so hopefully whatever Jenny's reasons were for hanging around would not require him staying up any longer.

"Dean." Jenny said again, now that she was right next to him now. The beautiful Impala right next to them in the darkness. Damn, Jenny loved that car. She made a mental note to think about maybe buying or stealing one in the future. "My car." she glanced behind her down the street she had parked. "It's dead, so you think I could get a ride back to the motel?" she tried doing that puppy dog eyed look Sam did. "Please?"

That made sense. Dean nodded slowly, "Yeah, sure," he looked to the Impala, "You want to get in?"

He paused, and glanced around. He could hear the sound of foot falls, slightly distant and closing in on them. There was probably no reason to be suspicious, though his mind went straight to the array of weaponry in the trunk of the Impala. He forced himself to ignore the instinct to go there. It was probably just a late night jogger going for a run.

He started to walk over to the door to the drivers seat. He really needed some sleep. He was beginning to get paranoid.

Jenny grinned. "Thanks!" she said, relieved. It was lucky Dean was there, really, because otherwise she'd have no ride, and it wouldn't be as half as nice without him there. She remembered Sam back at the motel, wondering if he would get better soon before she had to leave, and before the case was over.

She walked around the the door, taking a short look at the side of the Impala.

Sails was closing in on them now, the games were beginning. She picked up a large pebble by her foot and using her blood-covered nails carved a crimson 'X' into the side. She then threw the stone using her vampanese strength towards the couple.

A pebble skidded across the roof of the Impala, hitting Dean in the side hard, before dropping to the floor. He winced, hand going to the mark it had hit. That was probably going to bruise.

"What the hell was that?" Dean knelt down, picking up the stone. It was quite big, edges jagged, with a 'X' engraved onto it. Definitely a bit strange, though likely it was just kids messing around. Though it had been thrown with an unnaturally strong force.

Dean stood back up, looking around. He couldn't see anyone, only Jenny, and it couldn't have been her. The running he had heard a minute before had stopped as well. His hand went to rest on the gun he had concealed in his pocket, hidden under his jacket. It was loaded with silver bullets, so probably wouldn't be as effective as a normal one against anything human, or something supernatural that did not have an aversion to silver. Still, it was better then rock salt, and had the last hunt not been going after a werewolf then that was what would probably be in it.

Jenny's gaze snapped up quickly to Dean, all thoughts about the Impala forgotten as she turned around to see where the rock had been thrown. She couldn't see anything in the dark, so she did the logical thing she could think of. Get out a torch. So she slipped her hand into her bag and pulled one out, not taking her eyes of the darkness. She flicked it on, holding it up.

Dean couldn't make out anything in the light of Jenny's torch, just the empty street. He walked round the car, peering in the direction the rock came from. Whoever or whatever had thrown it had either scarpered, or was very good at hiding. He was unsure of which.

"Can you see anything?" he asked Jenny, his voice low in case it was still near by. He did not like this one bit.

Jenny didn't reply, shining the light around the whole street, trying to see if there was anything around. If it was some kid then she was sure they would be laughing at their suddenly alert reaction to the stone throwing. At least they hadn't seemed to have scratched the Impala, or they would be in huge trouble. She edged around the car, her hand ready to snatch her knife out at any moment if it was necessary.

She bent over a little, shining the light under the cars parked on the other side where the edge of the forest was. Nothing.

"No." she murmured, though still prepared in case anything jumped out at them. If there was one thing she had learned, it was that supernatural beings liked to make you jump.

Sails found another rock, this one was oval and flatter. Using her bloody nails she scratched "Goodbye" into it. The writing was red with her last victim's blood which was also smeared over the sides of the thing. Again using the strength a Vampire contains she threw the rock over to the couple.

Jenny let out a small 'ow' as the rock hit her shoulder. She touched it with her hand, irritation spreading on her face as she bent down trying to find the rock. Her eyebrows raised when she saw what was written on it and she held it out for Dean to see, though not keeping her eyes off the darkness. She shone the light all around, trying to see if there was anything moving. Who or whatever it was must be in the forest since the rock had obviously been thrown at her from there.

"Come out!" She demanded.

Dean frowned, something bad was definitely up. Jenny started shouting for it to come out. Was that really a good idea? If it was something supernatural, then it already knew where they were, and surely shouting was a bad idea, for it might provoke it. Dean looked at her, pressing a finger to his lips. Be quiet.

He looked in the direction it was thrown, and he couldn't see anything, still. What the hell was this thing?

Jenny started moving towards the forest slowly, holding up the torch. She debated whether she should get out her knife yet or not. Show the attacker that she was armed, or show that she didn't want to hurt it. Though, she'd already proved that she was pissed off with it though when it had thrown the rock. No, it looked like this thing wanted to play games with them, and she really wasn't in the mood for that.

She tried to think of what it could be. Anything that could take human form wouldn't be hiding. Spirits weren't afraid to get close either. It had to be some kind of creature that by the looks of it was smart enough to read and write.

As her parents had been Vampanese, she was able to Flit* despite being half Vampanese. She heard the female and flitted to her, as she appeared she scratched the arm of the girl, laughed and flitted away to the field again.

*Flit is the term Vampires use when they run at great speed. It allows the Vampire or Vampaneze to run at immense speeds so that they can get places quicker. They appear invisible whilst flitting to humans until they come to a standstill.

Dean saw a figure appear beside Jenny, that disappeared almost as soon as it was there. He couldn't make out what it looked like in the evening light, but he thought he saw a flash of long hair, so probably female, and judging by its appearance probably supernatural.

"Are you okay?" he asked, and he walked over to Jenny. He didn't see what it had done.

When the creature appeared Jenny didn't have enough time to react. She bought out her knife quickly, but as soon as she had it was gone. Warm liquid trailed down her arm once it had. She heard the laugh and tried to squint, holding up the torch slightly in the darkness. She dropped the knife and hissed in pain, realising that the creature had scratched her arm. Jenny made her way to the ground, dropping the torch too, letting it roll a little way till it stopped, shining light under the cars. In the middle of the road she reached out for her knife with her good arm and placed it back. She put her hand to her arm where the creature had scratched her. It's claws had ripped right through her jacket leaving deep cuts on her arm.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit..." Jenny swore under her breath, pulling off her jacket and looking at the damage. She would need stitches for that, and she really hated them.
