Re: After the Show
Jenny frowned, seeing that there wasn't really any reason for them to be there. It seemed that everything was fine, meaning she wouldn't have to come back an endure one of the shows, which sounded pretty good to her. Only problem was, she'd come all the way down there for nothing, and had seen Dean again, which she had been trying to avoid, no matter how much she missed them.
"See you around, Dean, I'm heading back to the motel." she said. "Nice to meet you." she smiled at the guy, before turning around and starting to walk off, getting out her phone and texting Dean saying she'd found nothing, not even EMF.

"I'm charmed to have been in your prescence." He said politely, bowing as he did so.

Re: After the Show
Dean nodded at her as she left, smiling vacantly, "See you later," he hoped that she wasn't going to abandon him to come alone to this tomorrow. He had a feeling that she wouldn't be sticking around long, seeing as there was not really much of a case. He, on the other hand, would probably be staying around till Sam got better, and continuing investigating the circus while here wouldn't hurt.
He turned back round to Crepsley, wondering what to say. If there was something up then the guy probably wasn't going to tell him, but it wouldn't hurt to try.
"So, you ever have anything strange going on around here?" he asked, trying for a casual tone, going for a politely interested look, "Some of your acts, they're doing stuff that's not humanly possible, if you get what I'm saying. How's it all work?"
He probably could have been more tactful, rather then just asking outright. Still, he was interested in knowing, though he doubted he would get a straight answer.

Re: After the Show
Crepsley raised an eyebrow, "Strange? Sir, We are standing in a Freak Show." He indicated around. "It must be humanly possible for otherwise the people here would not be human... They were born different from those people are used to, and so are shunned from society and abused for being ...different." Crepsley smiled darkly. "Once they had been brought to the attention of Mr Tall, they are invited into the show. All acts are genuine just unusual."

Re: After the Show
Dean frowned. He doubted that Crepsley was telling him the truth, though Dean probably should have had a bit more tact in asking about the acts. He really could have phrased that better.
"So that women, with the beard, there's gotta be some sort of trick going on there," Dean couldn't see how that could be possible. He had never seen anything like it before. Not to mention the wolfman, the guy was probably mentally unstable, making Dean wonder if this really was the right place for him, though it would probably be a bit too rude to ask about that.

Re: After the Show
Crepsley smiled again, making his scar look like an extension of his mouth. "No trick. We were all born....special..." He laughed hollowly, the long scar pulsating.

Re: After the Show
Crepsley face looked grotesque, his scar becoming more prominent as it pulsated. Dean half wanted to recoil, but he stayed put, ignoring it. The way the man spoke put him on edge a little, like he was not hearing the whole truth.
"So you were all born like that?" he exhaled, as he forced a smile, "That's pretty amazing, man." No way they were born like that. He'd seen a lot of things, but beards growing out of nowhere in seconds? Performing spiders? That was not possible, whatever Crepsley said.

Re: After the Show
"Obviously some skills were to be enhanced...." Crepsley looked fondly at Madam Octa, "Octa and I have been performing for years, our connection is not a born gift but aquired, through....other means..."

Re: After the Show
Other means? A little cryptic. Dean couldn't help but wonder what lengths Mr. Crepsley must have gone to, to ensure that the spider performed. It could have just involved a lot of practice, but the man's tone suggested that there was more too it then that. Then again, maybe Dean was thinking into it too much.
He glanced over to the spider. Hopefully this would be a bit more of a neutral topic. He did not want to come across as overly offensive. He had nothing against the performers, he was just a little weary as to how they acquired their skills, unless they were indeed born with them.
"So, you and Octa, you been performing together long?" He looked back to Crepsley, breaking his eyes away from the spider.

Re: After the Show
"Oh, many years now" He smiled fondly at the spider again, "About 20 years give-or-take." He couldn't recall exactly but it had been a very long time.

Re: After the Show
"They live that long?!" Dean's eyes widened in disbelief. He thought spiders only lived for a year or two, or was it a few months? Twenty years was one hell of a long time. Had Crepsley been around the circus for that long? Did he not find it dull, doing the same acts over and over, never ending.

Re: After the Show
"They can live to around 50 years of age." Crepsley answered, still watching his pet affectionately.
